Admission into a graduate program at the University of Miami is selective and determined by each individual department/program. The Graduate School facilitates the application process and serves as a liaison between you and the program you're applying for. The Graduate School is not involved in admissions decisions.

General Application Procedures

Online Application

Click here to apply to on-campus graduate programs in the School of Architecture, College of Arts & Sciences, School of Communication, School of Education and Human Development, College of Engineering, Frost School of Music, Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, and the Graduate School (Abess Center) at the University of Miami through our online application. Our online application is quick, secure and convenient. After you submit your application, you will receive an e-mail with instructions for setting up a CaneLink web account.  You may also visit the account page to learn how to set up your account.  You will use this to check the status of your application credentials and view your admission decision.  

Transcripts

Transcripts must be submitted directly to the program you have applied to. Please reach out to the admissions representative for that program for additional details.

Exam Score Reports 

If your program of interest has an entrance exam requirement, please submit official exam score reports (GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS, etc.) directly to the program you have applied to. Please reach out to the admissions representative for that program for additional details.
