General Application Procedures
Online Application
Click here to apply to on-campus graduate programs in the School of Architecture, College of Arts & Sciences, School of Communication, School of Education and Human Development, College of Engineering, Frost School of Music, Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, and the Graduate School (Abess Center) at the University of Miami through our online application. After you submit your application, you will receive an e-mail with instructions for setting up a CaneLink web account. You may also visit the account page to learn how to set up your account. You will use this to check the status of your application credentials and view your admission decision.
Transcripts
Transcripts must be submitted directly to the program you have applied to. Please reach out to the admissions representative for that program for additional details.
Exam Score Reports
If your program of interest has an entrance exam requirement, please submit official exam score reports (GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS, etc.) directly to the program you have applied to. Please reach out to the admissions representative for that program for additional details.

The University of Miami's institution code for IELTS is 4862.
Application Fees
The application fee is $85 for programs in the following schools and colleges:
- School of Architecture
- College of Arts and Sciences
- School of Communication
- School of Education and Human Development
- College of Engineering
- Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric & Earth Science
The application fee is $100 for programs in the Frost School of Music.

Credit Card Information
The Graduate School does not have, under any circumstances, access to your credit card information. Your credit card information is used to process your application fee payment and will not be used for any other purposes. Credit card information is transmitted through, but is not stored, on a web-enabled server.

Cards accepted include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
