Degree-seeking master's and doctoral students at the University of Miami are eligible to apply for a one-time travel support of an amount up to $1,000 to present at a scholarly conference or to present and/or attend a professional meeting. Preference will be given to students who are presenting.
*Please note: Dean's Fellows and McKnight Fellows are not eligible for this travel support. Instead, eligible Dean's Fellows should apply for the Dean's Fellow Travel Support click here for details, and eligible McKnight Doctoral Fellows should apply for the McKnight Fellow Travel Support, click here for details. Dean's Fellows are eligible to apply for the Graduate Student Travel Support in the years they are not supported by the Dean's Fellowship.
If you are a recipient of a travel support award, you will be required to provide documentation of attendance and expenses incurred related to the conference/meeting (e.g. conference/meeting agenda, original itemized receipts and invoices) in order to receive the travel support. The travel support will come in the form of a reimbursement to the student upon the student's return from the conference/meeting and only after the student has submitted all required documentation needed for reimbursement.

There will be three opportunities per
March 15 Deadline: For travel dates between April 15 and August 15
July 15 Deadline: For travel dates between August 15 and December 15
November 15 Deadline: For travel dates between December 15 and April 15
